Hello! Winterfest Online 2012 begins this coming Saturday, February 4. Here are some things you may want to know beforehand: To enjoy all of WFOL's treats, you will need: a reasonably up-to-date browser: Firefox http://firefox.com or Internet explorer http://www.microsoft.com/uk/windows/internet-explorer/thank-you.aspx or Chrome http://www.google.com/chrome a relatively high-speed internet connection. (Dial-up users, do not despair - there are low-bandwidth activities too.) Flash: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ Java: http://java.com a PDF reader: http://get.adobe.com/reader/ or http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/reader/ a media player, eg WiMP: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/products/features/windows-media-player-12 or VLC: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ Microsoft Silverlight http://www.microsoft.com/silverlight/ javascript and cookies enabled (if you don't know what these are, they are probably enabled, so don't worry.) Also, you may want to join the WFOL yahoogroup. It's active just during Winterfest and closed the rest of the year. This is the best place to go to find out what's going on during Winterfest.
